چکیده
Introduction; The musculoskeletal system, which greatly affects the balance of elderly body and can cause mobility disorders, is one declines experienced by elderly. Physical exercise in form muscle strengthening exercises an effective way for to improve their functional abilities. Purpose; This study determine how providing Balance Strength Tele-Exercie (BAST) changes lower extremity strength Method; experimental with a one-group pretest-posttest design method. A total 15 people aged 60-75 were analyzed using purposive sampling technique. 30s Chairs Stand Test, Functional Reach Time Up Test used retrieve research data. Result; significant value was obtained based on bivariate analysis results. variable has sign 0.005, dynamic 0.003, 0.001. Conclusion: BAST program improves leg

Effects of a Task-specific Exercise Program on Balance, Mobility, and Muscle Strength in the Elderly
[Purpose] The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of a task-specific exercise program based on motor learning on balance ability and strength of the lower extremity in the elderly with/without falling experiences. [Subjects and Methods] Individuals who had experiences of falling over 2 times within the past 6 months were included in the falling group. The task-specific exercise pro...

The purpose of this study was to analyze the effects of 2 days/week versus 4 days/week of Whole Body Vibration (WBV) during eight weeks of WBV training on health-related quality of life (SF-36), balance and lower body strength, as well as short-term detraining (3 weeks) on balance and lower body strength among older adults. Thirty-four older adults were randomly assigned to a control group (Con...

BACKGROUND The aim of the present study was to compare the changes in voluntary strength (isometric, concentric, and eccentric) and functional mobility in response to maximal isokinetic eccentric-only resistance training to those elicited by maximal isometric-only or maximal isokinetic concentric-only resistance training in older adults. METHODS Twelve women (73 +/- 7 years) and 18 men (73 +/...
